Caves of Stiffe

The wonder of water in Abruzzo’s subsoil

The Stiffe caves are another extraordinary caving attraction. Here it is possible to observe a ‘resurgence’ (point where the river re-emerges above ground). The path is accompanied by stalactites and stalagmites, pools, canyons and waterfalls. Adventurers will pass through the Waterfall Hall, the Hall of Silence, the Hall of Concretions, the Black Lake and the ‘Last Waterfall’. This is a truly unique experience, where it is possible to observe what water has carved out over thousands and thousands of years.
