Dante’s ‘bolge’ awaits to amaze you

This evocative place is reminiscent of a fairy-tale or lunar landscape: the steeply grooved hills, so steep that they look like natural sculptures, have also given the Calanchi di Atri the name of Dante’s Bolge (because of their steepness). The morphology of the Calanchi, however, makes it possible to visit them by means of easy and less strenuous routes: they are the ideal place for those seeking a wild experience in the heart of Abruzzo.
